Brunfelsia australis
The Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow plant. So named because the flowers open dark, violet-blue and gradually fade to pale lilac and then white over three days. As the flowers become lighter, so the scent from them gets stronger. A native of South America, though naturalised in many countries of the southern hemisphere, often used as hedging in places like South Africa. Over here, it's just a lovely shrub for the conservatory.
