Gardenia jasminoides Kleims Hardy

As far as Gardenias go, this is hardy. I've had it as low as -8 (lower with a cover on and dry soil, though it looked pretty poorly). I would suggest growing this in a tub with a well drained, acid soil, and moving it if the winter gets nasty. It's worth it though, gorgeously scented, creamy-white flowers throughout the summer & autumn on a nice compact and easy to manage evergreen.
