About Us

What we do...

We are a family run, traditional growing nursery set in one of the largest Victorian Walled Gardens in England. All our plants are home grown cutting down on "plant miles" and ensuring that we are able to provide plants that we know are of good quality and true to name.

The Pond and Glasshouse

The nursery was established here in 1993 and is run by Heather Angrave along with her father John and sister Frances. The intentions for our nursery are very clear, to provide plants that you simply can't get elsewhere, in an environment that is peaceful and as true to nature as is humanly possible.

To that end we now have an odd assortment of glasshouses and poly tunnels housing a rather ambitious collection of shrubs and climbers from all over the world for both garden and conservatory, where at any time of year there is something to marvel at and always a warm welcome from dogs and people alike!

Our specialities include South African, South and central American and Australian plants, and anything else a bit weird and wonderful.

We also are the holders of the National Collection of Callistemon along with the largest collection of Grevillea in the Country.

2007 had its share of setbacks and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our family, friends and fellow exhibitors for the help and support they gave us at a difficult time. It was greatly appreciated.

We have spent the winter getting the nursery back into shape, revamping the poly tunnels and flood benches and are in the process of creating a new garden for customers to come and see along with our collection of interesting flora.
